Setting up your DSL connection (Important: Keep your Account Information sheet in a safe spot! You may need it at a later date.)

  • With your right mouse button, click on the "My Network Places" icon located on your desktop.

  • Select "properties" from the list that pops up.

  • Look for the "TCP/IP" that is bound to your Network Interface Card on this screen. (If you do not have this, or if you only have "TCP/IP" bound to your Dial-Up adapter, you will need to properly install your Network Interface Card before continuing.)

  • Click on the "TCP/IP" that is bound to your Network Interface Card. This should highlight it in blue.

  • While "TCP/IP" is highlighted, click on the "Properties" button that is located directly below the area that you are working in.

  • Click on the "DNS Configuration" tab, which is located at the top of the new window.

  • Select "Enable DNS" by clicking on the white circle directly to the left. This should place a black dot in the white circle.

  • The "Host" field contains your computer's name. You can choose a name for your computer, or leave it as the default.

  • In the "Domain" field, please enter "Wyoming.com."

  • Click on the "IP Address" tab that is located at the top of the window.

  • Select "Specify an IP Address" by clicking on the white circle to the left. This should place a black dot in the circle.

  • In the "IP Address" field, please enter the IP Address given to you on your account information sheet.

  • In the "Subnet Mask" field, please enter "255.255.255.0"
